NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Siena Men's Soccer (6-6-2, 2-3-1) dropped its second consecutive 3-1 decision Wednesday afternoon, falling at MAAC rival Iona (6-6-2, 3-3-1) after coming off a bye last weekend.
Travelling to Mazzella Field in New Rochelle, NY for the second straight meeting and the second time this calendar year, the Saints were forced to work from behind early on, with Iona's Camil Azzam Ruiz finding the back of the net in the 12

Despite the Green and Gold holding a 16-12 shots and 6-5 corner kicks advantage during the match, the Gaels heated up at home in the second half, taking the lead with a Lenworth Lopez goal in the 62
nd minute, and further extending the score with Ruiz's second strike of the afternoon in the 73
rd minute. Siena could not capitalize on 12 Iona fouls, while only committing six themselves.
The Saints saw shots attempted by seven different players in the loss, including a career-high six from freshman
Jacob Sandun Arachchige-Jensen. Goalkeeper

Following a two-match road trip, Siena returns home for three of its final four regular season matches of the year, beginning this weekend. The Saints will host I-87 rival Marist on Saturday, October 23 at 3 PM at Hickey Field, with the team's senior class being honored beforehand.
