LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Men's Soccer (7-6-3, 3-3-2) partied like it was 2014 Wednesday afternoon, unleashing its best scoring performance in seven years in a dominant win over conference foe Canisius (1-12-2, 1-7). The Saints scored four times in the second half to take a 5-1 victory over the Golden Griffins and extend their home unbeaten streak to six, as well as their unbeaten streak against Canisius to eight.

The Green and Gold continued a stretch in which three of their final four matches are played inside the friendly confines of Hickey Field by improving to 5-1-2 in Loudonville. Siena found the scoreboard during a relatively even opening half in the 27
th minute, with fifth year defender
Jacob Pacheco scoring his third goal of the year in the striker position off a feed from senior
Birgir Thorsteinsson and freshman
Erik Reis.

The second half opened the scoring floodgates for the Saints, with freshman
Jacob Sandun Arachchige-Jensen netting what would be one-half of his first career multi-goal performance in the 47
th minute, with classmate
Zach Gardner finding the assist in his first game back from injury. Sophomore
Nick Fernandes found the back of the net for the second time this season off a pass from freshman
Frederic Storodegard, beginning a stretch of three goals in eight minutes. Arachchige-Jenson's second strike of the match came in the 69
th minute by way of Pacheco, while sophomore
Jack Mendrysa netted his first goal of the year just seconds after coming off the bench in the 71
st minute, with Arachchige-Jensen and sophomore
Antonio La Gamba earning assists.

Despite being out-shot, 16-10, on the day, Siena compiled its most goals in a single match since a 5-1 win over Sacred Heart on September 9, 2014, as well as its most goals in a single half of play (four) since a 7-1 win over Saint Peter's on October 24, 2010.
