LOUDONVILLE, NY – Currently in the midst of one of the best starts to a season in program history, Siena Men's Golf is set to tee off at its home course for the first time in three years Friday. The Saints will host sister school St. Bonaventure for the third annual Murray Cup, with the 18-hole stroke play event taking place at Schuyler Meadows Golf Course in an 8:30 AM tee time start.
 
The Saints on the Bonnies will compete against each other in The Murray Cup for the third time ever and the first time since taking the course in Loudonville on October 2, 2018. St. Bonaventure took the title in each of the first two Murray Cup events, winning 7.5 – 10.5 in 2018, and 5-11 in the inaugural event in 2017. Friday's action will mark the third time ever that Siena has hosted an event at the course it has called home since 2016.
 
Siena enters its fourth of five scheduled fall events on a historic run, having gone under 300 as a team in each of its first seven rounds of the season. The Saints tied for fifth at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial Collegiate and placed eighth at the Cornell Invitational before logging an impressive fifth place finish at the UConn Invitational at GREATHORSE last weekend. The team boasts an average score of 294.57 after seven rounds.
 
The Saints will use all 10 players on its roster Friday and are led by senior co-captain and defending MAAC Male Golfer of the Month Brody Yates. Coming off back-to-back top-10 individual finishes, the Essex Junction, Vermont native owns an average score of 72.29 through seven rounds and has shot par or better in five of seven rounds. Junior Matthew Ferrari tied for fourth individually at the team's season-opening event, while beginning the year with a round of 67.
