LEWISBURG, PA - Siena Basketball returns to action following the Thanksgiving holiday when the Saints travel to Bucknell Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip-off at Sojka Pavilion. The contest tips off a stretch where the Saints will play six of seven on the road to close out the 2021 calendar year.
Siena (1-4) is looking to build off its first win of the season, after defeating Ivy League preseason No. 2 Harvard 72-69 Monday night at the Times Union Center. The Saints have been led by the one-two punch of
Colby Rogers and
Jackson Stormo so far this season, with the duo combining to average 27.4 points per game. Rogers ranks 43rd nationally shooting at a torrid 47.2% clip from three-point range (17-36), while Stormo ranks fourth in the MAAC in rebounding (7.8) and fifth in blocks (1.2)
Bucknell (1-5) meanwhile is looking to bounce back from a pair of losses in the Cancun Challenge earlier this week in Mexico. The Bison were defeated 85-79 by MAAC foe Rider Wednesday, whom Bucknell had previously defeated for their lone win to date this season.
Siena and Bucknell meet for the seventh time overall, including the sixth time in the past eight seasons. The Saints have captured five of the first six meetings, including the most recent matchup by an 81-71 margin on Dec. 21, 2019 in Albany.
