Saints Resume Non-Conference Action at Holy Cross

Siena Looks to Head Into Extended Break on High Note

WORCESTER, MA - Siena Basketball continues its season-long four-game road trip and resumes non-conference action Saturday at Holy Cross at 2 p.m.

Siena (3-6, 1-1) is looking to head into its extended holiday break on a high note, after splitting a pair of MAAC contests to tip off conference play last weekend. Following today, the Saints will not take to the court again until Dec. 28 for their non-conference finale at American. The 17-day break between games will mark the program's longest in-season break in 39 years, since going 18 days between games Dec. 11-29, 1982.

Holy Cross (2-8) meanwhile is looking to stop a four-game losing streak in which the Crusaders have dropped each contest by 15 points or more. Holy Cross is also in search of its first win over a Division I opponent this season, as their first two victories have come against Division III opponents Regis and Mount St. Vincent.

One-time MAAC foes during the 1989-90 season, Siena and Holy Cross meet for the 17th time including the fifth time in the past five seasons. The Saints lead the all-time series 10-6, and captured the most recent meeting 74-62 on Dec. 29, 2019 at the Times Union Center.
