NEW BRITAIN, CT – Two more Siena swimmers entered or improved upon their times on the All-Time Top-10 Performer's as Siena Swimming and Diving completed weekend competition at the Blue Devil Invite, hosted by Central Connecticut State at the Jack Suydam Natatorium in New Britain, Connecticut.
Stony Brook (626 points) walked away with the team victory in the five-school competition field, while the Saints took fourth place with 455 points.
Siena ended its annual trip to a weekend regional winter meet with nine more best times during the final day of action. Highlighting the day were top performances from senior Isabel Harms, who chipped away at the 200 back school record with a best time of 2:05.03 to remain second all-time, and freshman Shaylea Triller, who entered the All-Time Top-10 Performers List in the 100 free at tenth with a time o 53.84.
Senior Reilly King began the day by placing fifth in the 1650 free (17:58.64), while the Saints' Olivia Martin, Audrey Shultz and Rory Kalac took third, fifth, and sixth, respectively, in the 50 breast. Sophomore Demi Bobarakis placed third in the 50 fly with an impressive mark of 26.53.
Juniors Elisabeth Balicanta (2:13.67) and Kristyn Sampath (2:25.28) both joined Harms in putting forth best times in the 200 back, while Kalac took fifth in the 100 free with a time of 53.76 in the preliminaries and 54.00 in the finals. Freshmen Maddie Buck (55.02) and Kylie Carter (54.88) also took home best times in the 100 free.
The 200 breast featured three Saints with new best marks, including freshman Olivia Martin (2:32.26), junior Maggie Caputo (2:32.47), and sophomore Emily Sulik (2:34.62). Junior Jessica Shine went for third in the 200 fly with a time of 2:11.37.
The weekend ended with one final impressive relay performance from the Green and Gold, with the team of Triller, Carter, Buck, and Kalac placing third with a time of 3:36.74 in the 400 free relay, with Kalac anchoring the relay to the tune of a 53.13 split.
Siena will return to action in January with two more regular season dual meets before taking part in the MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships in Buffalo, New York.
