The Siena Women's Tennis team was victorious in their first home match of the season, as they defeated the Binghamton Bearcats by a final score of 7-0.
The Saints won all three courts in doubles play, and all by scores of 6-3 to go up 1-0 in the match heading into singles play.
In singles, both sophomores
Maanya Viswanath and
Anastasia Koniaev each won in straight sets, but required tiebreakers in each. Freshman
Emma Boggiali also won in two but needed a tiebreaker. Sophomore
Petra Miszczak had a clean 6-0, 6-1 win at #3 singles, while #1 singles court in
Meagan Brown was ble to come back from a first set loss to win 6-2, 6-4 in the second and third set for the win and clean sweep for the Saints.
The Saints return to action on Saturday, April 3 when they head to Marist to take on the Red Foxes in their first MAAC action of the season. First serve is slated for 12:45 p.m.
