The Siena Men's Tennis team finished their weekend on a tough note, as they fell to the Fairfield Stags by a final score of 7-0 Sunday evening.
The Saints struggled early, falling on all three courts in doubles play to fall into an early 1-0 deficit. The Green and Gold fought in singles play, as two of the six courts went in the max three games, led by
Guillermo Lopez Torres at #2 singles.
Soma Yokoyama also fell in three at #6 singles, but fought to the finish in their courts. Lopez Torres would fall by a score of 6-4, 4-6, 10-8. Yokoyama would push his way to a 6-7 (5), 6-2, 10-8 finish.
Fairfield topped the Saints the rest of the way on other courts to complete the sweep.
The Saints return to action Wednesday, Apr. 14 when the Saints play host to Marist at Tri-City Fitness beginning at 8 p.m.
