RIVERDALE, NY - Surging Siena Basketball seeks a fifth straight win and a regular season series split with Manhattan Friday night at 7 p.m. at Draddy Gymnsium.
Riding at least a four-game win streak for the fourth consecutive season, Siena (6-6, 3-1) looks to avenge its most recent defeat - a 77-72 overtime loss vs. Manhattan (9-5, 2-3) some 49 days prior. The Jaspers overcame a 13-point deficit with 12:29 remaining in regulation that night in Albany.
The Saints have also had their own remarkable second half road comeback, rallying from 17-down with 12:28 to go to stun Marist last Friday night in Poughkeepsie. Also winners of four straight road games, Siena looks to assure itself of a winning record of its season-long three-game road trip with a victory tonight.
Manhattan meanwhile is just 3-4 since that early December victory over Siena, after having won six of their first seven to open the season. Tonight marks the Jaspers' fourth game in a seven-day stretch since returning from a COVID pause.
Siena and Manhattan meet for the 107th time, with the Jaspers holding a 56-50 all-time advantage. The Saints have won six of the past eight matchups overall, however, Manhattan has emerged victorious in eight of the past 10 tilts in Riverdale. The Jaspers are in search of their first regular season series sweep of Siena in four seasons (2017-18).
