ALBANY, NY - Siena Basketball continues its season-long four-game homestand when the Saints host Quinnipiac for a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. at MVP Arena. The MAAC foes will be meeting for the first time in nearly two seasons.
Tickets start as low as just $10 for adults (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster), and can be secured by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office (opens at 10 a.m.), or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000.
The Siena Basketball MVP Arena Spectator Policy, which was last updated on Jan. 7, remains in effect. All attendees - regardless of vaccination status - are required to wear a mask at all times inside MVP Arena, except when actively eating or drinking. The updated policy, which complies with New York State's mask mandate issued last month - which was adopted by Albany County and recently extended to Feb. 1 - also continues to require fully vaccinated guests to provide proof of vaccination, and partially vaccinated or unvaccinated fans to provide proof of a negative test upon entry. Sunday's matchup marks Siena's annual Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers game. Coaching staffs for both teams will come together to show their support by wearing sneakers, while the Saints will also be looking to raise awareness and money for Coaches vs. Cancer. MAAC foes Siena (7-8, 4-3) and Quinnipiac (11-7, 6-4) meet for the first time in 704 days, after last playing nearly two years ago on Feb. 26, 2020 in Connecticut. The Bobcats were the only MAAC team whom the Saints did not face in either the regular or postseason during last year's COVID-affected season.
Siena is looking to build off a 60-56 victory over Niagara to open its season-long four-game homestand Friday night. The Saints continue their grueling stretch where they play six times in just a 12-day span, with the middle four games taking place over only seven days at MVP Arena.
Siena and Quinnipiac were predicted to finish eighth and ninth according to the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, respectively, but currently round out the top-five with just over a month remaining in the regular season. The Bobcats enter play winners of four of their last five, and return to the road following a season-long four-game homestand of their own.
The Saints hold a 10-6 advantage in the series between the two relatively new MAAC rivals. Siena snapped a four-game losing streak in the series with a season sweep the last time the programs met in 2019-20.
