The Siena College Athletic Department has announced the following spectator policy for all fans planning to attend Siena Women's Basketball home games held on campus at the UHY Center this season. All spectators aged 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to be able to attend, and be able to show proof of vaccination and identification upon entry. Full vaccination status is defined as having completed the COVID-19 vaccination series at least 14 days prior to the date of the game. Proof of full vaccination can be presented through paper form, digital application, or the State's Excelsior Pass upon entering the UHY Center. Proof of Identification can include: Driver's License, Siena College ID, or Passport. Masks are required to enter the building, in line with New York State mandate through January 13. This policy is guided by the alert level established by Siena College's COVID-19 Operations Team and is subject to change based on current conditions.

The Saints (0-9, 0-1 MAAC) return to the court for the first time since Dec. 20, when they fell to the Rider Broncs by a final score of 59-43 in their first MAAC matchup of the season. Fifth-year Rayshel Brown led all Siena scorers, putting up 12 points on a 5-for-9 night from the floor. Brown also added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals to her stat line. Senior Margo Peterson scored eight points, while classmate Amari Anthony scored six points.  As a team, the Saints would force 25 Rider turnovers on the night.

The Bobcats (6-6, 1-2 MAAC) are coming off a 70-60 home loss to Monmouth on Thursday evening. Senior guard Mackenzie DeWees tallied 20 points, 11 rebounds and five steals while junior forward Cur'Tiera Haywood tallied 16 points. Junior forward Mikala Morris contributed 10 points, nine rebounds and tied her career-high of three steals. Through the first 12 games of the season, DeWees leads the team in points (13.8) and steals (4.1) per game. DeWees' 49 total steals and 4.1 steals per game places her third in the nation in both categories, respectively.

In the series history, the Bobcats hold a 15-2 advantage in 17 games all-time. However, the Saints are winners of two of the last three against the former MAAC Champions. Siena won the previous meeting last season in dramatic fashion, taking a 63-60 victory. Senior Rayshel Brown scored a game-winning go-ahead layup with 14 seconds to play put the Saints in position to take the win. They would hold the Bobcats to just eight points in the fourth quarter, and scoreless over the final 3:22 of the game.
