Sara Wagner each collected 13 kills Sunday afternoon as the Siena Volleyball team fell 3-1 (19-25, 25-14, 24-26, 22-25) at the UYC Center to the Rider Broncs. The loss moves the Saints to 10-5 in MAAC play, as Siena and Rider split the regular season series.

Senior
Gracie Halley had a strong effort with 18 digs, while
Ece Emrullah recorded seven blocks. Sophomore
Claire Isaksen tossed out 20 assists as well. Leading the charge for the Broncs was senior Morgan Romano, as she piled up a match-high 20 kills while Alicia Iafrate led the Broncs with 17 digs.

Rider overtook the Saints in the first set, as they took a 16-15 Siena lead midway through and went on a 6-1 run to go up 21-17. That four-point advantage would be all the Broncs needed as they kept their foot on the gas for a 25-17 win.

Siena turned the tables in set two, with the Saints scoring early an often. They built up a 14-6 lead midway through before finishing the set on a 6-1 run hat included a trio of service aces. With a 25-14 win, the match went into the third tied.

Despite a closely contested third set that fell in favor of Rider 26-24, the Saints ran out of steam in the fourth set as the Broncs pulled away and finished off the match with a 25-22 win. Romano stepped up in the fourth set, helping the Broncs finish off the Saints with six of her 20 kills in the final frame.

Siena returns to action next Saturday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. when they play host to the Marist Red foxes in their final home match of the season. The Saints will also celebrate Senior Day prior to the match. Siena defeated Marist in their previous matchup this season.
