LOUDONVILLE, NY – A Siena Soccer senior pair were honored as the first Leo Dufort Student Athletes of the Month for the 2022-23 school year. Siena Men's Soccer's Antonio Linge and Siena Women's Soccer's Brooke Boermeester earned the awards for September 2022.
A redshirt senior and four-year member of Siena Men's Soccer, Linge has logged 55 appearances on Siena's back line, recording three career goals and four assists for ten total points. This season, the Cottbus Germany native netted a top shelf second half strike to give the Saints a 1-1 tie against ACC foe Boston College on September 6, 2021. A 2022 graduate of Siena with a Bachelor's in Business Analytics, Linge held a perfect 4.0 GPA and received the Siena School of Business Highest GPA award among graduating student athletes. He is currently pursuing his MBA.
A redshirt junior in her fourth season with Siena Women's Soccer, Boermeester is currently serving as a team captain of her squad. The Dracut, Massachusetts product has made 15 appearances in-goal, including a pair of shutout victories during the Saints' MAAC Championship run during the Spring 2021 campaign. A member of the MAAC All-Academic Team and the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, she holds a 3.98 cumulative GPA as a business major.
