ALBANY, NY – Siena Basketball takes aim at its first 3-0 start in non-conference action in 19 years when the Saints host Army West Point at 7 p.m. in the backend of a doubleheader at MVP Arena. The Siena women precede the men when they take on St. Bonaventure at 5 p.m.

Tickets start at just $10 (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster) with tickets good for both games of the doubleheader. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office, or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000. The Siena Fan Relations Management Center is on-hand to handle all ticket-related inquiries, and can be reached by phone at (518) 487-2202 or by e-mail at sienatickets2@siena.edu.

Fresh off an exhilarating 75-62 triumph over crosstown rival UAlbany to reclaim the Albany Cup Saturday night, Siena (2-0) is refocused on chasing the program's first 3-0 start in non-conference action since the 2003-04 season. The Saints most recently won their first six games of the pandemic-affected 2020-21 season, albeit while playing exclusively against MAAC rivals.

Siena Head Coach Carmen Maciariello also takes aim at a personal milestone Wednesday night as he seeks to secure his 50th career win. Set to coach in his 79th game, only Mike Deane (71 games), Paul Hewitt (72), Bill Kirsch (76), and Dan Cunha (78) have achieved the feat faster in program history.

Army West Point (1-1) is looking to bounce back from an 82-77 home loss Saturday afternoon vs. Stonehill. The Black Knights won their season-opener 110-65 over Division III Keystone College. Army, which posted a 15-16 overall record last season including an even 9-9 league mark, was predicted to finish fifth out of 10 teams according to the Patriot League Preseason Coaches' Poll, with junior guard Jalen Rucker earning preseason All-League honors.

Siena and Army met last season for the first time in 31 years, with the Saints using a 23-2 second half run to prevail 83-67 on Nov. 30 in West Point. Siena leads the all-time series 7-4 against their twice short-lived league foes (MAAC: 1989-90, ECAC Metro: 1980-82).

"The Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and Andy Grazulis '92 will have the radio call of the action locally in the Capital Region on ALT 104.9 FM and online at alt1049albany.com.
