Siena Basketball Heads to Harvard Sunday

Saints Look to Bounce Back Against Crimson

CAMBRIDGE, MA – Siena Basketball returns to action when the Saints head to perennial Ivy League power Harvard Sunday afternoon for a 2 p.m. tilt.

Siena (2-1) is looking to bounce back from a 96-94 overtime defeat vs. Army West Point in a barnburner Wednesday night at MVP Arena. Despite the defeat, the Saints' offense continues to fire on all cylinders early on this season. Siena is averaging 81.3 points through their first three games, while shooting a stellar 49.7% from the field including 47.5% from three-point range, which ranks fourth-best nationally in the early going.

Harvard (3-1) returns to Lavietes Pavilion for its home-opener. The Crimson were predicted to finish fourth (out of eight teams) according to the Ivy League Preseason Poll, which included one first-place vote.

Siena and Harvard meet for the fourth time in five seasons after having never previously met. The home team has won each of the first three matchups by exactly three points each time, with the Saints taking a 2-1 series lead with a 72-69 victory last Nov. 22 in Albany.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, which can be viewed by clicking the corresponding link. The "Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and Conner Fenlon '12 have the radio call of the action locally in the Capital Region on ALT 104.9 FM and online at alt1049albany.com.
