BUFFALO, NY – Siena Swimming & Diving saw three swimmers earn All-MAAC finishes during day two of the 2022 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo, New York on Thursday.
Through two days of action in the four-day event, the Saints sit in seventh place with 134 points, five points behind sixth place Canisius. Siena saw five Saints advance to the MAAC Championship finals as the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, and 200 free relay events took place.
Freshman
Maddie Buck came away with the team's best preliminary finish of the day, placing fifth in the 500 free with a time of 5:06.45 to move into fourth all-time in program history in the event. She would finish eighth in the finals with a time of 5:11.61 to earn All-MAAC honors in the final round. Junior
Reilly King also advanced to the finals with a 15
th place finish, and finished the day in 14
th with a time of 5:11.55.
The 200 IM featured an eighth-place finish from junior
Jessica Shine with a new best time of 2:09.85 to move to third-best All-Time, while senior
Isabel Harms moved into the finals with a 16
th place finish and a time of 2:11.53, good for seventh all-time. Shine would improve on her prelim mark by five hundredths of a second to finish eighth in the finals for All-MAAC honors, while Harms placed 16
th overall. Sophomore
Audrey Shultz also put forth a best time in the preliminary round with a mark of 2:15.88.
The ever-competitive 50 free saw junior
Rory Kalac swim a personal best time of 24.03 in the preliminary round to place sixth for third all-time, and later finish seventh in the finals at 24.05. Other Siena swimmers who claimed a personal best in the 50 free included Buck (25.22), senior

Shaylea Triller (25.10),
Francesca Coppola (25.81), sophomore
Natalie Colaizzo (25.75), and junior
Kristyn Sampath (27.49).
The Saints ended the day with a sixth-place finish in the 200 free relay, with Kalac, Triller, junior
Elisabeth Balicanta and, sophomore
Demi Bobarakis combining for a time of 1:36.75 to come just under a second off the school record. Kalac put forth an impressive leadoff split of 23.75
Siena will continue action at the MAAC Championships on Friday, February 11 with the running of the 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, and the 3-meter diving.
