BOSTON, MA – Siena Indoor Track began its final weekend of regular season competition with the women competing at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston, MA Friday evening.
The Saints' third trip to the renowned BU Track & Tennis Facility this season was highlighted by senior
Olivia Lomascolo's time of 9:37.42 in the 3000, which was good for the second-fastest time in program history in the event and the fastest run in the MAAC this season by seven seconds.
Graduate student
Regina Rosati turned in a mark of 9:49.32 for the third-fastest mark in school history, while junior
Elaine Atanasova's time of 9:56.39 went for the fourth-fastest. Junior
Delia McDade Clay (10:02.64), junior
Keira Cohen (10:14.73), and freshman
Julia Caputo (10:33.81) also took part in the race.
Siena also had multiple entries in the 800, with sophomore
Jennifer McClintock moving into sixth all-time with a personal best time of 2:21.71. Senior
Holly Bednarek ran a time of 2:25.19, while sophomore
Isabella Painter (2:31.67), and senior
Shannon Bergin (2:34.31) also participated.
Freshman
Keira Flaherty was the team's lone entry in the mile, running a solid time of 5:11.64 for a personal best and 11
th best all-time.
Siena's men's squad will be in action at the Valentine Invite on Saturday, February 12.
