Fairfield, who ended Siena's 2021 season in the MAAC Quarterfinals, placed second in the poll earned 93 total votes and one first-place ballot, while Monmouth (92, 2), Iona (87, 2), and Manhattan (85, 2) all earned first-place votes as well.

Coming off its first winning record since 2016, the Saints will enter their 47th season of play under the direction of second-year head coach Casey Bump, and will look to build off a 19-15 mark and a 19-13 MAAC record in 2021.
