ALBANY, NY - Surging Siena Basketball begins a major MAAC weekend at MVP Arena when the Saints look to complete the regular season series sweep of I-87 rival Marist Friday night at 7 p.m.
Tickets start as low as just $10 for adults (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster), and can be secured by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office (opens at 10 a.m.), or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000.
Winners of three straight and six of seven, Siena (12-9, 9-4) looks to build off its momentum heading into the stretch run. The Saints currently hold down sole possession of second-place in the MAAC Standings, a slim half-game clear of Saint Peter's who comes to town Sunday.
But first up is a Marist (11-13, 6-9) squad who also enters play winners of three in a row after having dropped their previous five. The Red Foxes conclude a stretch tonight where they play five of seven away from Poughkeepsie.
Siena is in search of another sweep of its regional rivals, having won seven of eight and 25 of the past 31 matchups overall. Meeting for the 90th time, the Saints have dominated the all-time series to the tune of a 61-28 advantage, and have captured eight straight and 13 of the past 14 in Albany.
Siena secured a remarkable 67-60 come-from-behind triumph in the first meeting between the teams on Jan. 14 at McCann Arena. The Saints rallied from 18-down - including a 17-point deficit with 12:28 left - to pull off the program's biggest come-from-behind win in more than a decade.
