LATHAM, NY - The Siena Women's Tennis team got back to their winning ways on Saturday evening, as they defeated the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers by a final score of 5-2 from Tri-City Fitness.
Siena got on the board early by taking the doubles point with wins at #1 and #3 spots in the lineup. Senior
Meagan Brown paired up with freshman
Laia Giralt for a 6-4 win at #1, while
Nanea Perkins and
Anastasia Koniaev took a 6-2 win at #3.
The top four lineup spots in the Siena lineup took victories in singles, giving the Saints their five points for victory. Both Brown and Perkins were each victorious again, with Perkins coming out with a 6-1, 6-3 sweep at #3 singles.
The Saints return to action tomorrow, Feb. 20 when they host Senior Day at Tri-City Fitness against the Bucknell Bison. The match commences at 12 p.m., with Senior Day honors starting at 10:30 a.m.
