WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ - Siena Basketball continues its pivotal five-game, 10-day stretch when the Saints battle fellow MAAC contender Monmouth Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the OceanFirst Bank Center.

Siena (13-10, 10-5) and Monmouth (17-9, 9-6) are set to meet twice this week in a pair of matchups which are likely to have major implications on MAAC Tournament seeding. The only contest on the MAAC docket Tuesday features two of the top-four teams in the standings. The Saints currently stand second, a half-game ahead of third-place Saint Peter's and a full game clear of the Hawks. Tuesday's matchup is a rescheduling of a Jan. 7 contest which was not played as scheduled due to COVID complications, while the programs are set to meet again Sunday in Albany. 

Siena enters play winners of seven of their last nine, punctuated by a pivotal regular season series sweep of the Peacocks Sunday. Monmouth meanwhile has split its last four contests, but will be playing for the first time since edging out in-state rival Rider 60-58 Friday on the Jersey Shore. 

The programs are set to meet for the final time as MAAC rivals in West Long Branch, with the Hawks set to bolt for the Colonial Athletic Association following the conclusion of the school year. Monmouth leads the all-time series 12-8 - including an 11-6 advantage since joining the MAAC nine years ago - however the Saints have won four straight having swept the regular season series each of the past two years.
