The Siena Men's Tennis team opened their three-match weekend against the Temple Owls, falling by a final score of 5-2 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
Siena got off on the right foot by winning the doubles point, as the #1 doubles pair of
Dante Russo and
Tomas del Olmo set the tone with a 7-6 (5) victory. The #3 doubles duo of
Jose Pablo Davila and
Mathis Tremblay also won with a tough 7-5 victory.
In singles play, Davila came through with a huge win at #4 singles, but the Saints would fall through the rest of the lineup as the Owls got their five points for victory.
The Saints return to action tomorrow, Feb. 26 when they head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to take on Lehigh at 11:30 a.m.
