The Siena Men's Tennis team came out with a dominant victory on Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Lafayette Leopards by a final score of 7-0 in Easton, Pennsylvania.
From top to bottom, the Saints had the advantage throughout. Despite losing at #1 doubles, the Saints took home a win at #2 and #3 to seal the win and go into singles play with a 1-0 lead.
Jose Pablo Davila and
Mathis Tremblay took a 6-3 win at #2, while
Dante Russo and
Maxwell Acri won 6-0 at #3 doubles.
In singles, the Saints were strong throughout the lineup, taking all six singles courts. They did not drop a game, with all three clinching courts finishing in straight games.
The Saints return to action on Saturday, Mar. 5 in a matchup with the Niagara Purple Eagles to open MAAC play.
