Saints Alive! Reaches Goal of Securing 150 Donors on Siena Giving Day

Funds Raised Directly Support Siena’s More Than 350 Student Athletes

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Challenge accepted. Siena Athletics supporters stepped up in a major way on Siena Giving Day, helping the athletic department succeed in its challenge of securing 150 donors for the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund.
 
"What an outstanding show of support in direct benefit of our student athletes on Siena Giving Day," said Siena College Vice President and Director of Athletics John D'Argenio. "On behalf of Siena Athletics – our coaches, staff, and more than 350 student athletes – I'd like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of our loyal supporters who made a difference in helping us in our mission to Build Better Saints."
 
The Saints Alive! Giving Challenge was held in conjunction with Siena College's annual Giving Day on Wednesday, Mar. 16. The goal of the challenge was to secure 150 donors for the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund, which directly benefits the College's more than 350 student athletes.
 
"I'd like to thank each and every supporter whose generosity helped us reach our goal of securing 150 donors for the Saints Alive! Athletic Fund on Siena Giving Day," noted Associate Athletic Director for External Relations Ryan Venter. "I'd especially like to recognize and thank those special supporters who made noteworthy contributions through their donor challenges, which includes Brian Keating '79, Burgandy McCurty '10, HOF '15, and Tom '80 and Linda Murphy '79. A special thank you as well to Sybille Cowan, Joyce Eggleston, and David '07 and Christie (Gustafson) Ryan '07, HOF '15 who all helped bring attention and additional support to Siena Giving Day."
