Army West Point erupted for 13 runs over the first three innings to cruise to a 15-5 victory over Siena Baseball in midweek action down state.
Kobe Stenson contributed a three-run homer to pace the Saints' offensively.
Army West Point (5-13) pounded out 15 hits, worked 11 walks, and stole eight bases. Derek Berg led the way offensively going a perfect 4-4 with four RBI, while Hunter Meade reached base safely in all five plate appearances in producing a 3-3 effort with a pair of walks, three runs scored, and four stolen bases. The Black Knights also benefited from six errors.
Siena (2-16) scored four of its five runs in the seventh inning, with three coming home on the Stenson blast. Stenson,
Vincenzo Castronovo, and
Nick Hohenstein each tallied a pair of hits apiece to lead the Saints.
Siena returns to action Friday when they host Saint Peter's in both their home and MAAC opener at 3 p.m.
