The Siena Women's Lacrosse program ended their non-conference slate on a high note Wednesday evening, as the Green and Gold topped the Wagner Seahawks by a final score of 15-8 in Staten Island.

Mary Soures led all goal scorers with four tallies on the day , while fifth-year
Nicole McNeely took the crown with five total points on the afternoon with three goals and a pair of assists. McNeely also grabbed a team-high three ground balls and led the way with five draw controls.
Ally Mervine earned her third win of the season in goal for the Saints.
Megan Greco led the Seahawks with a hat trick of her own, while Victoria Tucci scored a pair of goals with two assists for a team-high four points. The Seahawks featured three other goal scorers, while Aileen Hannan led all players with four ground balls.
Soures got the offense moving in the first quarter, scoring two of the three goals as they led 3-2 after 10 minutes of play. Throughout the remainder of the game, Siena would score in spurts as the lead grew, as the Saints led by as many as nine goals when a goal from
Katy Wangsness made it 14-5 with 12:36 to play in the fourth quarter.
McNeely would be a major part of the offense as well, scoring two goals and an assist before the end of the first half. With her points on the afternoon, McNeely now stands one goal and two points away from tying the program records in those categories.
Siena dominated in shots, 33-23 with a 23-18 spread in shots on goal. The Saints were also strong on the draw, topping the Seahawks 17-10 in that department.
The Saints return to action on Saturday, Mar. 26 at 1 p.m. when they host Iona in their conference opener at Hickey Field.
