ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA – Siena Men's Golf picked up action in the Spring 2022 season with 36 holes of play at the Sea Palms Invitational on St. Simons Island, Georgia Friday. Following two rounds of play, the Saints sit in 15th place out of 19 teams with a 36-hole score of +38, 606 (303-303).
Siena was led by junior
Matthew Ferrari (145), who carded rounds of 73 and 72 to land in a tie for 13
th. Ferrari shot five birdies in the first round and four in the second on the par-71, 6,664-yard course.
Freshman
Dan Brooks followed up a round of +6, 77 with a round of +5, 66 to finish at 153 in a split for 62
nd place individually. Senior
Brody Yates (77-77) and junior
Jack Tobin (76-78) both carded 164 to knot for 69
th. Rounding out the Saints' five-man competition squad was junior
Nolan Crowley, who carded rounds of 85 and 78 to finish in 98
th place individually at 163.
Competing as an individual, freshman
Nick Lyons carded six birdies in a team-best first round of -1, 70 to finish the day in a tie for 69
th place.
Siena concludes action at the Sea Palms Invitational beginning at 7:20 AM on Saturday, March 5.
