BLOOMFIELD, CT – Siena Water Polo (4-24, 1-14) netted four goals in the second period and three goals in the fourth quarter as part of a 19-8 loss to #25 Marist (24-11, 11-12) at the Siena Swim Center Friday evening. The match continued the team's three-match homestand to close the regular season.
 
Junior Lily Graham scored the first goal of the day, but Marist answered with six straight scores of its own, eventually holding a 9-5 halftime lead. The Saints scored three of the final five goals heading into the half, with a penalty shot and a power play opportunity providing two of the three.
 
The Red Foxes solidified their lead by scoring five of six total goals in the third quarter and four more in the final period. Junior Sydney Jones and senior Bianca Prinsloo each scored twice, while freshman Ashley Chand, junior Grace Boeve, senior Georgia Vargas, and freshman Cece White also found the back of the net. Junior goalkeeper Anna Mossakowski collected seven saves in-goal, while sophomore netminder Caroline Behr made three saves during her time in-between-the-pipes.
 
Siena will close out its 2022 campaign by hosting Iona in Loudonville on Saturday, April 16 at 3 PM.
