Dartmouth opened a 7-0 lead through three innings and never looked back in an 11-4 victory over Siena Baseball Wednesday afternoon in New Hampshire.
Vincenzo Castronovo led the Saints offensively, going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate with a pair of RBI doubles.
The No. 8 and No. 9 hitters Max Zajec and Zackarie Casebonne combined to drive in seven runs for Dartmouth (17-13) which won their sixth straight.
Siena (8-24) matched the Big Green with 11 hits, with
Devan Kruzinski joining Castronovo in posting a multi-hit performance.
The Saints scored single runs in the fourth and six innings on the first of two RBI doubles by Castronovo and a run-scoring single off the bat of
Bryce Mordecki, respectively. Siena tacked on two final runs in the eighth on a run-scoring two-bagger from Castronovo and a wild pitch.
After having the league bye last weekend, the Saints return to MAAC action Friday when they open a three-game series at Niagara. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
