PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA – Siena Men's Golf senior Nolan Crowley shot in the 60's for the third time in as many rounds this season as the team began its second weekend of action during the Fall 2022 season. The Saints carded a solid +8, 288 to finish day one of the Cornell/Temple Invitational in seventh place at the 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.
Through 18 holes of action in the Philadelphia suburbs, Rhode Island (-6, 274) leads the 15-team field, while the Green and Gold sit just a stroke behind Bucknell and Temple and MAAC counterpart Canisius (+25, 305) is currently in 13th.
Crowley birdied twice on the par-70, 6,951-yard course to finish the day in a tie for fourth individually at -2, 68. Sophomore Dan Brooks joined freshman Austin Giroux in putting forth an eagle on the day, with Brooks doing so on the par 5 sixth hole and Giroux on the par 5 third hole. Brooks shot +2, 72 on the day to tie for 21st individually, while Giroux joined senior Matthew Ferrari and graduate student Brody Yates in carding +4, 74 to knot for 38th. Competing as an individual, senior Jack Tobin carded a +3, 73 to finish the day in a split for 29th.
Siena will conclude action at the Cornell/Temple Invitational on Sunday, September 18 with one final round.
