The Siena Men's Tennis team picked up right where they left off last season, winning their first dual match of the season in a 6-1 victory over Holy Cross in Worcester.
The Saints swept through doubles play, taking all three courts.
Matt Nardone and
Agustin Suarez set the done with a 6-1 win before
Edward Vo and
Dante Russo stood tall with a 6-2 win at #2 doubles.
Tomas del Olmo and
Maxwell Acri brought it home at #3 doubles with a 6-4 win.
Siena then took five of six singles matches, with Russo at #1 and del Olmo at #2 winning in straight sets. Vo and Acri did the same at #5 and #6 singles, with
Jose Pablo Davila taking a win in three sets – 6-1, 1-6, 6-3.
The Saints return to action this Friday, Sept. 23 when Siena heads to Vestal to partake in the Binghamton Invitational. The tournament will last two days – Friday and Saturday.
