LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Athletics began the start of a unique partnership with the announcement of its latest corporate sponsor in conjunction with Van Wagner. The department announced Capital Region business Hannoush Jewelers as the official presenting sponsor of Siena's 12 women's athletic programs.
As the presenting sponsor of Siena Women's Athletics, Hannoush Jewelers will support increasing awareness and media recognition of the accomplishments of Siena's female teams and athletes through social media channels, branding, and more.
"My brother David and I felt this partnership and unique opportunity to support female athletes aligned perfectly with our mission to support education, hard work, and dedication to high quality standards," Hannoush Jewelers President Albert Hannoush said. "That is what the women's sports teams at Siena embody every day at practice, in competition, and in the classroom. "
"Siena Athletics is excited to continue the mission of Building Better Saints by beginning a partnership with Hannoush Jewelers in support of our women's athletic programs," Siena Vice President / Director of Athletics John D'Aregnio added. "Lynne Young and Van Wagner did a fantastic job in helping to cultivate this partnership and bring well-deserved exposure to our highly successful Siena Saints women's teams."
The first deal of its kind within the athletic department, the partnership was brokered through Siena Athletic Sponsorships General Manager Lynne Young, and will enable women's teams at Siena to have a presenting sponsor tied directly to their events and team activities.
"Having recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of Title IX, I felt we needed to shine a light on all that we do at Siena to support the accomplishments of our strong female athletes," Young said. "Partnering with Hannoush made a lot of sense, as this is a celebration of equality and of the bond that our students, student athletes, alumni, and faculty build at Siena. "It is very similar to the bond that Albert and David have worked so hard to create with their customers: A bond based on trust".
"We would like to thank Hannoush Jewelers for their tremendous support of our female student-athletes, Siena Senior Associate AD / SWA Angie Jabir said. "In this 50th Anniversary year of Title IX, we are thrilled to have a sponsor recognize the tremendous value that women's athletics brings to Siena College and beyond."
The partnership will include Hannoush Jewelers becoming the presenting sponsor for Siena's National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration, as well as the sponsor of a planned VIP section at select women's basketball games. Furthermore, Hannoush will aid in Siena women's teams' fundraising efforts by donating items to each team to use for efforts such as raffles.
With two locations in Albany and Clifton Park, New York, Hannoush Jewelers has served the Capital Region since 1984, with nearly four decades of successful business in the Albany area.
