LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Assistant Athletic Director for Communications Mike Demos announced the hiring of George Fellows as the department's Digital Media Manager Wednesday afternoon. A longtime Capital Region production worker, Fellows will serve as the primary video and broadcast contact for the department, as well as the ESPN liaison.
"We are thrilled to officially welcome George to our Siena Athletics family," Demos said. "A widely known and respected video production veteran in the Capital Region community, George is no stranger to Siena having worked collaboratively with us on a number of projects and initiatives over the years. We are excited to welcome his expertise, which will help us continue to grow and thrive our digital media assets."
A Capital Region native, Fellows spent the past six years working as a Freelance Production Specialist at both Siena College and the University at Albany, as well as for Spectrum, Myriad, and several other local production companies. He also spent six years as a Video Production Manager with Technical Video Inc. in nearby Latham, where he managed their video production department and oversaw live streams.
Fellows spent 25 years at Time Warner Cable in Albany working as a producer and director of live remote sports productions, studio productions, and other field productions. He aided in directing and producing live broadcasts of several Capital Region college athletics broadcasts including at Siena, and also served as the producer of the Saints Alive weekly coaches show for 14 seasons.
He holds a B.A. in Communications / Sociology from the University at Albany.
Siena Athletics continues to expand its scope of digital media and broadcast production, aided by the use of the Frank '85 and Sheila Ambrose Media Center. The department partners with Siena's Communications programs to offer students opportunities to gain real-world experience in the production of sports broadcasts, both in front of and behind the camera.
