Saints Tip Off Season-Long Three-Game Homestand Friday Night

Siena Takes on New MAAC Member Mount St. Mary’s For First Time in 12 Years

ALBANY, NY – Siena Basketball commences a season-long three-game homestand when the Saints host new MAAC member Mount St. Mary's Friday night at 7 p.m. at MVP Arena.

Tickets to tonight's game start at just $10 (service fees apply if purchasing through Ticketmaster) and can be purchased by clicking the corresponding link, in-person at the MVP Arena Box Office, or by contacting Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000. The Siena Fan Relations Management Center is on-hand to handle all ticket-related inquiries, and can be reached by phone at (518) 487-2202 or by e-mail at sienatickets2@siena.edu.

Siena (12-6, 6-1) returns to the Capital Region looking to bounce back from their first conference setback of the season. The Saints saw their season-long seven-game winning streak – which included a four-game road win streak – snapped with a 66-62 defeat Sunday at Canisius.

Siena returns to the friendly confines of MVP Arena where they are 5-1, and have won four straight. The Saints enter the weekend alone in first place atop the MAAC Standings, a full game clear of second-place Iona.

First-year MAAC member Mount St. Mary's (6-12, 2-5) has dropped six of seven, while averaging just 57.7 points during that span. However, the Mount has been without two of its top-three scorers in Jalen Benjamin (14.3) and leading rebounder Malik Jefferson (9.7) recently. Tonight's contest marks the Mountaineers' lone road game during a six-game stretch.

Siena has won all four previous meetings with the Mount, three of which have come by just five points or less. The program's meet for the first time in a dozen years since the Saints prevailed 65-53 on Nov. 19, 2011 in Emmitsburg, Maryland behind a 30-point performance from then-freshman Evan Hymes.

Robert Lee and Kelly O'Donnell have the call of the game on ESPN+ - which can be viewed by clicking the corresponding link – and which will be simulcast locally in the Capital Region on My4 Albany. Each of Siena's remaining home games will be televised on My4 Albany, which is available locally over the air on Channel 51, and is also available to Spectrum subscribers in the Capital Region on Channel 4. "The Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and former Saint Andy Grazulis '92 will have the radio call of the action locally in the Capital Region on ALT 104.9 FM and online at alt1049albany.com.

Social media updates will be provided courtside throughout the day by following the Saints' official twitter page @SienaMBB. Join the conversation by using the hashtag #MarchOn. Upload pictures of yourself and your friends enjoying the game through the Selfiefinder platform by clicking the corresponding link at the top of the page, or by downloading the Selfiefinder app and searching "Siena."
