Siena Looks to Keeping Rolling Against Fairfield

Saints in Search of 10th Straight Win Over Stags

ALBANY, NY – Siena Basketball looks to complete its fifth straight regular season series sweep of Fairfield when the Saints host the Stags Sunday at 2 p.m. at MVP Arena.

Siena (13-6, 7-1) enters play winners of eight of their last nine, after bouncing back from their first league loss last weekend with a 72-57 triumph over Mount St. Mary's Friday night at MVP Arena. The Saints finished the game on a 20-4 run over the final 9:48 to win their fifth straight at home.
 
Fairfield (8-10, 4-4) has won back-to-back games to move back into the top half of the conference standings. The Stags rank 25th nationally in three-point field goal defense (.293) and stand second in the MAAC in scoring defense (64.6).
 
Siena and Fairfield meet for the 80th time, with the Saints holding a 47-32 all-time advantage. Siena has won nine straight in the series, while limiting the Stags to an average of just 56.8 points. The Saints shot 54% from the field and opened the game up 27-9 in a 70-61 victory in the first meeting between the squads this season on New Year's Day in Connecticut. Michael Eley came off the bench to score 16 points and add a career-high seven rebounds to lead Siena, while fellow reserve TJ Long tallied 17 of his game-high 19 points in the second half for the Fairfield.
