LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Swimming & Diving will officially commence its milestone 25
th varsity season on Friday, October 6 when it travels south to New Rochelle, New York to face off against MAAC foe Iona in dual meet action at the Hynes Aquatics Center at 2 PM.

Under the direction of fourth year head coach
Brogan Barr, Siena will look to build on an impressive 9-5 dual meet record and a sixth-place finish at MAAC Championships last season, with the former tying for the team's most dual meet wins in a single season since 2009-10. Siena returns 11 letterwinners from its 2022-23 roster, including nine swimmers who hold current entries on the program's All-Time Top Ten Performers list. The team was recentely picked in a tie for sixth place in the 2023-24 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

Rory Kalac (50 free) return following All-MAAC finishes from last year. Additionally, Siena added one of its largest incoming classes to-date, with nine new freshmen joining in the Green and Gold ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Siena is set to face off against four MAAC opponents in dual meet action this season, including tomorrow's battle against the Gaels, against Canisius in Rochester, New York on October 21, against Rider in Milford, Connecticut on November 11, and against Saint Peter's at home on January 28, 2024. The team's home action will commence next Saturday, October 14, against Rhode Island at the Siena Swim Center at 12:30 PM.
The Saints and the Gaels will face off in dual meet action for the seventh time ever on Friday, with the all-time series tied at three wins apiece. The conference foes went head-to-head four times at the Catholic Invite in Boston, with 200 marking the last time the pair entered into dual meet action together. Iona won that battle, while Siena defeated the Gaels in Lawrenceville, New Jersey back in 2002. Under the direction of longtime head coach Nick Cavataro, Iona was picked to finish fourth in the 2023-24 MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
