RICHMOND, VA – Richmond shot 59% from the field including 10-18 (56%) from three in a decisive 90-48 victory over Siena Basketball in a non-bracketed Sunshine Slam campus site game at the Robins Center.
Isaiah Bigelow led four players in double figures with 17 points on 5-6 shooting for Richmond (2-0), which improved to 24-2 in non-conference home games the past five years. Dji Bailey added 14 points on 6-7 shooting for the Spiders.
Giovanni Emejuru scored 13 points on 6-10 shooting for shorthanded Siena (1-1), who was without reigning MAAC Rookie of the Year and Preseason Second Team All-MAAC selection

Killian Gribben chipped in 10 points for the Saints who committed 22 turnovers. Richmond swiped 14 steals, leading to a 31-4 advantage in points off turnovers.
The Spiders led throughout and jumped out to a quick double-digit advantage at 18-8 just over eight minutes in. Siena closed the gap to 22-17, but Richmond responded with 12 unanswered points and never looked back. The Spiders led 43-22 at the break, and by no fewer than 18 points in the second half.
Albany native Jordan King, who began his collegiate career with the Saints (2019-21) where he was a part of back-to-back MAAC Regular Season Championships and was a 2020-21 Third Team All-MAAC selection, contributed 10 points, four assists, and four steals for Richmond.
Siena wraps up its long weekend in the region when they travel to American for a Monday night matchup at 7 p.m. in Washington, DC.
