BOSTON, MA – Members of Siena's men's indoor track squad took the court at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts to wrap up one final tune-up before the MAAC Indoor Track Championships on Saturday.
A handful of top-five times highlighted the Saints' action east of campus. Senior Aidan Gillooley ran the third-fastest time in program history in the 3,000 (8:17.49), while sophomore Jackson Cayward went for fifth in the mile (4:12.44). Finally, senior Matthew Laframboise remained at third (2:31.61) while sophomore Chris Bertola moved into fifth all-time in the 1,000 with a mark of 2:32.49.
Siena also got best times in the 3,000 from freshman Tyler Greene (8:24.64), sophomore Luke Tkaczyk (8:25.34), junior Ryan Shanahan (8:27.59), junior Ben Guerin (8:28.30), and sophomore Tom Ragone (8:29.25).
The team will next head to the MAAC Indoor Track Championships in New York City February 18-19.
