Andrew Estrella opened the scoring with a three-run homer in the third and Stetson doubled their lead with three more runs in the fifth to take the series-opener from Siena Baseball 8-1 in DeLand, Florida.
Siena (0-8) was held to exactly one run for the fourth time in their first eight games. The Saints have scored a pair of runs in two of their other four contests on the young season.

Nick Bergamotto cracked the scoreboard with an RBI single in the eighth to score classmate
Louis Percival. Four different Siena players registered one single apiece.
Jonathan Gonzalez and a pair of relievers allowed just six total baserunners for Stetson (5-3). Gonzalez tossed seven shutout innings allowing just three hits while striking out five.
Landon Moran also homered for the Hatters while scoring twice and driving in a pair of runs.
The teams conclude their mini two-game mid-week series Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.
