DIAMONDHEAD, MS – After kicking off its Spring 2023 slate with 36 holes of action on Monday, Siena Men's Golf concludes its first spring tournament of the 2022-23 season on Tuesday at the Gulf Coast Collegiate in Diamondhead, Mississippi.
The Saints shot +27, 315 in the final round on the par 72, 6,769-yard Diamondhead Country Club course to move up one spot and finish in ninth at +72, 936. North Alabama walked away atop the 13-team field with a 54-hole score of +12, 876.
Seniors Matthew Ferrari and Nolan Crowley each carded their lowest rounds of the tournament in the final go-around, with Ferrari shooting +1, 73 and Crowley turning in a round of +4, 76 to finish in ties for 16th (226) and 30th (231), respectively. Graduate student Brody Yates, sophomore Dan Brooks, and freshman Austin Giroux all shot +11, 83, with Yates splitting for 50th (240), Brooks knotting for 61st (246) and Giroux finishing in 64th (247). Competing as an individual, sophomore Nick Lyons shot +3, 75 to finish in 54th with a final score of 242.
The Saints will next take part in the Sea Palms Invitational for the second straight year, heading to St. Simons Island, Georgia from March 9-11.
