Siena Tips Off February Slate at Manhattan

Saints Look to Build Upon Momentum Heading Into Stretch Run

RIVERDALE, NY – Siena Basketball tips off its February slate when the Saints take on Manhattan Friday night at 7 p.m. at Draddy Gymnasium.

Siena (15-7, 9-2) enters the final full month of the regular season looking to maintain its positioning atop the MAAC Standings. At 9-2, the Saints are off to the program's best 11-game MAAC start in 13 years since the MAAC Championship season of 2009-10.

Winners of 10 of their last 12 overall, Siena has been getting it done with its defense recently. The Saints are allowing just 56.8 points on only 38.5% shooting over their past four games.

Manhattan (7-13, 5-6) snapped a three-game losing streak with an 81-74 overtime triumph at Canisius Sunday. The Jaspers have dropped five of their last six games at Draddy Gymnasium.

Siena and Manhattan meet for the 108th time, with the Jaspers holding a 57-50 advantage. Manhattan swept the regular season series last year after the Saints had won six of the previous seven. Siena has lost nine of its past 11 in Riverdale.

Jake Marsh and Chris Williams have the call of the game on ESPN3, which can be watched by clicking the corresponding link. The "Voice of the Saints" Emmanuel Berbari and Conner Fenlon '12 have the radio call of the action courtside from Draddy Gymnasium, locally in the Capital Region on ALT 104.9 FM and online at alt1049albany.com, with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m.
