Siena (17-12, 11-7) enters March looking to rebound from a 2-5 February. Despite suffering three straight losses for the first time, the Saints enter the final week of the regular season with the opportunity to still lock up a coveted top-two seed in next week's MAAC Tournament, which includes a First Round bye and a day off between the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. Siena, which still can finish anywhere from 2-6, can secure the No. 2 seed with a pair of wins and some help this weekend. The Saints would lock up a First Round bye with a win tonight.
Â
Meanwhile Manhattan (11-16, 9-9) is coming off a rollercoaster weekend. The Jaspers lost by 23 at home to last place Marist Friday and were down by 21 at Quinnipiac Sunday, before posting an improbable comeback on a buzzer beater to keep their hopes at a bye alive. Manhattan enters the evening in sixth place in the MAAC Standings, and can still finish anywhere from 3-7.
Â
The Jaspers have taken three straight from Siena, two of which have been in overtime. Manhattan leads the all-time series 58-50, although the Saints have captured 17 of the last 20 in Albany. Ant Nelson connected on the game-tying shot with 3.3 seconds left in regulation and Nick Brennen hit the go-ahead three with 42.3 seconds remaining in overtime in the Jaspers' 71-66 victory over Siena on Feb. 3 in Riverdale.
