ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA – Siena Men's Golf ended its second spring tournament of the 2022-23 season with one final round of the 54-hole Sea Palms Invitational in St. Simons Island, Georgia on Friday.
The Saints totaled a 54-hole score of 875 (287-292-296) to finish 17th in the 20-team field. The score is good for the second-lowest 54-hole output at a tournament in program history.
Graduate student Brody Yates finished in a tie for 48th (69-72-76-217), while senior Nolan Crowley split for 62nd (74-70-76-220). Senior Matthew Ferrari (75-76-71) the lowest Siena round of the day at even, 71 and joined freshman Austin Giroux (70-78-74) in knotting for 71st with 222. Dan Brooks rounded out the Saints' five-man competition squad (74-74-75-223) to tie for 78th.
Competing as an individual, sophomore Nick Lyons (76-80-84-240) finished the tournament in 117th place.
The MAAC preseason favorites continue spring action at the Battle at Rum Pointe in Berlin, Maryland March 25-26.
