Women’s Basketball Welcomes Back Naimah Abdullah as Assistant Coach

Former Siena Student-Athlete Returns to Loudonville

LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Women's Basketball head coach Jim Jabir announced the return of a former student-athlete as the team's newest assistant coach. Naimah Abdullah '07 returns to the Capital Region with valuable coaching experience at multiple levels.

"Please help me welcome Naimah and her son, Regis, back to our Siena family," Jabir said. "Naimah brings an infectious enthusiasm back to the campus she graduated from. She has a love for Siena and brings valuable knowledge and experience that will help our players grow to achieve their full potential."

Abdullah returns to Siena following a stint at the Assistant Athletic Director for Women's Basketball at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio during the 2022-23 season. She served as the team's liaison to the athletic administration and assisted with many valuable team duties.

Prior to her time at Xavier, Abdullah was the director of basketball operations & counselor for student-athletes from 2012-22 at the Kingdom of Development Skills Academy. She also served as the NBA Pre-Draft Director of Basketball Operations at KOD from 2018-22.

A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Abdullah earned her B.A. in Psychology from Siena in 2007, and was a four-year member of the women's basketball program with 57 career games played.
