Another match. Another close call for the Siena Volleyball team.
The Saints' valiant effort pushed another MAAC opponent to four sets, but Siena ran out of steam in the late goings as host Rider pulled out a 3-1 (22-25, 25-22, 22-25, 11-25) win in Lawrenceville, NJ's Alumni Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The teams played mostly even for the first three sets with identical scores of 25-22 going to the winner.
Siena was befallen by errors—22 committed by way on their attack—and another 11 on the service line to give Rider points.
Siena (1-14, 1-4 MAAC) played its' best volleyball in the second set as it hit .270 as a team in hitting percentage and limiting their attack errors to just two while Broncs committed seven errors of their own.
With it locked at a set apiece, the Broncs (4-9, 3-2 MAAC) played sharper by hitting .393 to the Saints' respectful .242 for the third set.

Olga Sawinska and junior outside hitter
Sara Wagner, who each tallied 12 kills on the day.
Sawinska was extremely accurate with her attacks, swinging at a .409 hitting percentage. Wagner added seven digs.

Claire Isaksen had a team-high 21 assists and freshman
Payton Hinkle totaled a team-best 10 digs.

Ella Treasure provided a bright spot off the bench as she had an efficient five kills on just nine swings and committed no errors for a .556.
Continuing in conference action, Siena will challenge Saint Peter's (0-16, 0-5 MAAC) on Sunday at 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
