BURLINGTON, VT – Following a break from competition for most of the month of December and its annual Winter Training Trip in Florida, Siena Swimming & Diving returned to dual meet action by continuing its annual rivalry with Vermont. The Catamounts topped the Saints, 179-105, Sunday afternoon at the Forbush Natatorium in Burlington, Vermont.
The home team claimed victory in the first 15 events of the day over the Green and Gold, with the 200 yard free relay team of graduate student

Mea Amedio closing the meet with a time of 1:39.73.
Amedio led Siena finishers in the 100 back (1:00.55) and the 50 free (25.36), while Kalac did so in the 100 free (55.33) and in the 100 breast (1:10.99).
Freshman
Carsyn Ide led Siena swimmers in the 200 back (2:13.50), while senior
Audrey Shultz did so in the 200 breast (2:30.78). Junior
Maddie Buck logged a time of 5:27.56 in the 500 free, while the top Siena finish in the 100 fly went to freshman
Mary Ellen Stratman (1:03.18) and freshman
Hope Ivanovich went led the Saints in the 400 IM (4:49.88).
Senior
Talia Spenziero steadied the Green and Gold in both the one-meter (206.78) and three-meter (225.75) diving events.
The Green and Gold will round out the regular season with home meets in consecutive weeks, beginning on Saturday, January 20 against Stonehill at 1 PM at the Siena Swim Center.
