LOUDONVILLE, NY – Siena Swimming & Diving closed out the 2023-24 season on a high note by grabbing a big win while honoring four graduating seniors. The Saints (5-6-1) improved to 3-1 in MAAC dual meet action this season with a 239-33 win over Saint Peter's at the Siena Swim Center on Sunday afternoon.
Siena took first place in all 16 events, beginning with the team of freshman
Mea Amedio, freshman
Maria Candelora, freshman
Hope Ivanovich, and freshman
Natalie Blume taking the top spot in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:52.49.
Ivanovich went on to win the 1,000 free (10:55.06) and the 100 fly (1:00.62), while graduate student
Rory Kalac won the 50 free (24.64) and 100 free (53.61). Senior
Audrey Shultz won both the 50 breast (31.26) and 500 free (5:21.24) events.

Talia Spenziero claimed first in both diving events, with a score of 251.00 in one-meter diving and 238.25 in three-meter diving.
Junior
Shaylea Triller took first in the 200 free (1:58.02), while freshman
Carsyn Ide won the 50 back (28.87). Senior
Emily Sulik took first in the 100 back (1:02.98), while junior
Olivia Martin won the 100 breast (1:09.91). Senior
Demi Bobarakis took first in the 50 fly (27.23), while Amedio swam the program's fastest time in at least the last nine years in the 100 IM (1:00.90).
The Green and Gold closed out the afternoon with a win in the 200 free relay via the team of Blume, Triller, Amedio, and Kalac (1:41.08).
Siena will next head to Geneva, Ohio for the 2024 MAAC Swimming & Diving Championships February 14-17, and will look to best a sixth place finish from last season.
