Women’s Basketball Falls at Washington

Saints Continue Road Trip on Wednesday

SEATTLE, WA - Siena Women's Basketball's West Coast trip came to a close on Sunday evening following a 94-51 loss to Big Ten Conference opponent Washington from Alaska Airlines Arena. 
 
Ahniysha Jackson posted her sixth career 20-point game, putting up 21 (8-24 FG, 1-9 3PT) in 37 minutes of work. She also topped the team with four assists. Myriam Traore added seven points and five rebounds, while Anajah Brown had six to pair with a team best seven boards. 
 
The Washington Huskies were led by Elle Ladine, who had a game-high 21 points. Chloe Briggs (15), Hannah Stines (14), and Dalayah Daniels (12) also posted double figures. 
 
As a team, Washington shot over 65 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three in the game, and also controlled the rebounding battle, 43-28. 
 
The Huskies paced the first half shooting 65.8 percent from the floor (25-38) and 61.5 percent from three (8-13), while the Saints were held to under 30 percent from the floor and under 20 percent from three. Jackson led Siena with 14 points at the break with the Huskies leading 59-25. 
 
Siena was more efficient in the second half, specifically the fourth quarter in which the team made half (5-10) of its field goal attempts. The Saints also went 6-for-7 from the free throw line over the final 20 minutes of play. 
 
The Saints are back in action on Wed., Nov 13 at Pennsylvania. Tip-off from The Palestra in Philadelphia is set for 6 p.m.
