LOUDONVILLE, NY - Behind 10 event wins, and multiple top-three finishes, Siena Swim & Dive defeated Stony Brook 176-121 from the Siena Swim Center on Saturday afternoon.
Leslie Dame and
Maddie Buck placed second and third in the 100 fly, respectively. Dame's mark of 58.54 ranks seventh on the program's top-10 performer time, while Buck finished in 1:01.84.
GayLynn Kirn broke the top-10 performer list for a second consecutive week, this time in the 500 free following her mark 5:12.83, good enough for second in the event, and 10th on the list.
Siena swept the top-three in the 100 free, with
Shaylea Triller winning the event in 53.45.
Natalie Blume (54.49) and
Mya Reed (55.06) completed the podium sweep. Another sweep took place in the 200 back, with
Mea Amedio winning in 2:11.70,
Hope Ivanovich second in 2:12.48, and
Mary Ellen Stratman placing third in 2:14.20.
The Saints took the top-two spots in the 200 free, with Kirn placing first in 1:55.70, and Buck second in 1:59.55. The team also placed first and second in the 100 breast, with first placing going to Dame (1:08.76), and second to
Kylie Carter (1:09.12).
Carter also won the 200 breast in 2:29.64, while
Emme Starzman took third in 2:34.45. Ivanovich also claimed the 200 IM with a time of 2:14.75, while Starzman placed third in 2:19.25.
Later in the 50 free,
Shaylea Triller and Amedio took the top-two spots - Triller winning the event in 24.82, and Amedio coming in right behind with a mark of 25.01. Ivanovich won the 200 fly with a time of 2:08.56, finishing the event three seconds back of her program-record mark of 2:05.13.
In the 400 medley relay, the team of
Gabrielle Rentosa,
Olivia Martin, Dame, and Triller took first in 3:59.28. The group of
Camryn Raines, Carter, Stratman, and Amedio placed third (4:09.27). The 200 free relay team of Blume, Carter, Triller and Rentosa placed first in 1:38.14, while the squad of
Kaci Owens, Reed, Rains, and Amedio took second in 1:38.87.
In the 100 back, Rentosa claimed second in 59.90, while Stratman placed third in 1:02.03 - with Rentosa narrowly missing a top-10 time by 0.46 seconds. Blume placed second in the 1,000 free, touching the wall in 10:58.32.
In the 1m dive,
Claire Donlon placed second with a score of 218.78, before going on to take third in the 3m dive with a final tally of 206.03.
The Saints return to action at the ECAC Championships from Dec. 6-8 in East Meadow, NY.
