LOUDONVILLE, NY - In what will be the program's first West Coast trip since the 2000-01 season, Siena Women's Basketball travels to the State of Washington to take on the Washington Huskies on Sunday from the Alaska Airlines Arena. Tip-ff is set for 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT).
The game will air live on the Big Ten Plus Network, while tickets, live stats and courtside X updates can be found by clicking the corresponding links. Joe Puccio and Steve Amedio will have the call locally on WVCR 88.3.
Siena's only prior West Coast game came on Dec. 29-30, 2000 when the team traveled to Moraga, California for the Saint Mary's Christmas Classic. The team went 1-1 in the tournament, defeating Idaho 83-79 in a neutral site game before falling to Saint Mary's the following day, 89-77.
The Saints look to bounce back following a 66-56 loss to Army West Point in its season opener on Nov. 6. Siena was led offensively by
Ahniysha Jackson's 14 points (5-18 FG, 2-9 3PT), and
KB Hadley's 10 (4-11 FG, 1-4 3PT).
Anajah Brown added eight points while
Myriam Traore totaled eight.
Everyone that played recorded at least one rebound, led by Hadley with six, and both
Eszter Turi and
Zyriah Price with five each. Turi also finished tied with Jackson for a team best three assists, and also registered a team high three steals.
Washington is off to a 2-0 start to its season following home victories against Seattle (95-53) and Pacific (81-50). Four players are averaging double figures in points over the team's first two games in Elle Ladine (15.0), Salvia Sellers (13.5), Dalayah Daniels (10), and Hannah Stines (10). The quartet have also done so on 47.4 percent shooting from the field or better.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Siena and Washington.
From Washington, the Saints travel directly to Philadelphia, PA to take on Pennsylvania Wed., Nov. 13. Tip-off from The Palestra is set for 6 p.m. on ESPN+, while tickets can be purchased
